This Carrara marble sculpture based on Falcone's plaster work of the same name exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1758 depicts a young girl about to enter the water before bathing, with her body slightly bent, her hands gently lifting the towel between her legs, and her left leg reaching forward and tiptoe slowly reaching into the water. Influenced by Greek art, the works follow the traditional techniques of classicism, with accurate anatomical proportions and beautiful and elegant lines.
