This work is based on a Roman marble copy of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples in zinc alloy, with a dark brown hot color. The original bronze original, made by Leuscipers around the third century BC, and a Roman marble copy was unearthed in 1758 at the Pabiri estate in Herculaneum and is considered one of the most famous works found in Herculaneum and Pompeii in the 18th century.
